    His journey in education began as an elementary teacher, a role that deepened his appreciation for classroom dynamics. Over 24 years, he progressed to become a K-12 administrator, influencing educational practices at elementary, middle, and high school levels. During his 18-year tenure in Pennsylvania's third-largest school district, he spearheaded numerous initiatives that improved instruction, leadership, school culture, and communication.

     

    Upon retiring from public education, he joined Cristo Rey Philadelphia High School as an instructional specialist and relationship manager. In this role, he crafted and implemented integrated teaching systems that enhanced educational delivery and prepared students with essential workforce skills. His responsibilities included managing work-study placements and consulting with the leadership team on refining everyday school processes.

    Throughout his illustrious career, Stephen has been recognized several times for his contributions that surpassed his daily responsibilities. His notable achievements include forging a significant partnership with Habitat for Humanity and leading initiatives such as introducing an elementary standards-based report card, transitioning to trimesters, establishing K-12 electronic portfolios, and opening a new elementary school.

     

    He holds a doctorate and is a published author in academic journals focusing on the development of teachers as leaders. He is also an active member of Kappa Delta Pi, the Bucks County School Administrators Association, and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. He serves on the Board of Managers for the Bucks County Youth Detention Center. He was named Youth Counselor of the Year in 1997.
